Raymond Benson (born September 6, 1955 in Midland, Texas) is an American writer.
He is best known internationally as the author of James Bond novels. In 1996 he officially succeeded John Gardner as James Bond author and wrote 9 Bond novels, of which Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day are the novel versions of the respective film scripts.
Apart from the novel versions of the scripts, only two James Bond novels by the first American Bond author were translated into German: Zero Minus Ten and The Facts Of Death.

Most recently he published together with John Milius the video game novel Homefront: Voice of Freedom.
