The Reallexicon of Prehistory is a prehistoric reference work published by Max Ebert (1879–1929) "with the cooperation of numerous scholars", which was published in Berlin by Walter de Gruyter in the years 1924–1932. It comprises 15 volumes (in 16) with a total of about 6,500 pages. It contains numerous (about 2,000) tablets. The alphabetically structured work is thematically broad and is considered a standard work of his subject. Volume 4 has appeared in two halves as a double band, in volume 15 is the register.
