Rebeka Benzsay (* 24). February 2000 in Budapest) is a Hungarian handball player. She is a Hungarian national player in the discipline of beach handball.

Rebeka Benzsay studies biology at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and lives in Szentendre, one of the strongholds of European beach handball. She has played since childhood both in the hall and on sand for Szentendrei N.K.E. In 2014 she started seriously with the sport of beach handball. In 2015 she was invited together with her teammate Csenge Braun for a course of the Hungarian U19 national team, but after that she was not appointed.

Beachhandball

Juniors
Benzsay was already nominated as a 15-year-old for the Hungarian U19 national team and participated with them in the U-19 Junior European Championships 2015 in Lloret de Mar, where the Hungarian team won the gold medal. The following year she was fifth with Hungary at the Beachhandball Junior European Championships 2016 in Nazaré. This was followed by the Beachhandball Junior European Championships 2017 on Lake Jarun near Zagreb. The team played a good tournament again and reached the game for third place, where they lost Germany in the shootout. At the age of only 17, she was subsequently appointed as Csenge Braun for the Beachhandball European Championships 2017 in her own place immediately afterwards and was used in all ten games. After a weak preliminary round, in which of four games only that could be won against Germany in the shootout, with Benzsay with ten points their most points, the team increased in the main round only little. Here, too, she could only win from four games against the table last Italy. In the placement matches Hungary first won in the shootout against Ukraine, but then lost in the final match for ninth place against Croatia. Overall, she scored 35 points during the tournament. Thus, Hungary actually missed the qualification for the Beachhandball Junior World Championships 2017 in Flic-en-Flac in Mauritius, but advanced for the non-contested Norwegian women. With only one defeat in the entire tournament, the Hungarian team won the title after a convincing tournament performance against the Netherlands. Also at the Beachhandball Junior European Championships 2018 in Montenegro, Benzsay won the title with Hungary.

A year later, Benzsay was part of Hungary’s squad for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, where Beachhandball was part of the Olympic Games programme for the first time. Already in the first game against American Samoa a clear victory was achieved, to which Benzsay contributed with eleven the most points of their team. Also against the second big outsider of the tournament, Mauritius, succeeded in the next game a clear victory, after Braun Benzsay scored with eight the second most points.
