Reina Alia International Airport (; transcript: Matar al-Malikah'Alya'ad-Dowaly) is an airport located in the Zizya area of the city of Jordan, 20 miles (32km) south of Amman. The airport has three terminals: two passenger terminals and one cargo terminal. It is the main base of Royal Jordanian Airlines, the national flag airline, as well as an important airport of Jazeera Airways, Emirates, Gulf Air and Jordan Aviation. It was built in 1983.
The name of the airport comes from Queen Alia, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan, who died in an air accident in 1977.
Facilities
Safety Scanners: Women are required to submit any element to pass through the scanner (including the load, which will be reviewed as the supplements they carry) before entering the women's inspection room where they will be searched by an employee or employed.
Shops: There is an interesting offer of Duty free shops on the air side with access at terminals 1 and 2 served by Aldeasa. On the earth side there are a large number of premises including CTN, souvenirs, bookstores, and an Arab pasta shop.
Restaurants and Bars: Alpha attends four of the World News Cafes, one on each terminal on both the ground and the air side, there are also premises attended by Pizza Hut and Popeyes, Cinnabon, Blue Fig and Starbucks.
Business services: Airline rooms are available, wireless internet connection throughout the airport and Wi-Fi cards are available at the four World News Cafes and public phones.
Bank services: Banks, foreign exchange and ATMs are available on the air and ground side at all terminals.
Rooms: The rooms available for VIPs and RJ are located at all terminals and are open to business class and first class passengers as well as to some frequent passengers under the decisions of airlines. A new room has been opened in the southern terminal for the Royal RJ class. The room has seats for 340 passengers, a space of 18000m2 and includes showers, beds and a library.
A 24-hour medical centre is available for all airport users.
Transportation: The taxis and buses are available 24 hours a day, as are car rental posts.
Facilities for the disabled: they are available including wheelchair, lifts, services and personal assistance.
Parking: The six parking towers can serve about 1392 cars.

Future expansion
The future extension of the airport was secured by financial contribution on 15 November 2007. The project costs $675 million and a 25-year grant for its rehabilitation, expansion and operation. According to the terms of the concession agreement with the government, the inverse
