René Klomp
Early Life and Career
René Klomp was born on 16 August 1974 in Nieuwenhoorn, Netherlands.
Club Career
Klomp started his football career at the amateur club VV Nieuwenhoorn. He then progressed through the youth schools of Sparta Rotterdam, Feyenoord, and PSV Eindhoven. In 1992, he joined PSV's first team and played nine championship matches during the 1992-1993 season, as well as two Champions League matches.
In 1993, Klomp moved to Sparta Rotterdam for a year, but only played three matches in all competitions. He then returned to PSV, where he played for two seasons, although his appearances were limited.
Career in Belgium and Cyprus
In 1996, Klomp left the Netherlands and joined KFC Lommelse SK in Belgium, which was playing in the first division at that time. Although he started the season strongly, winning his first seven matches, he eventually lost his place and had to settle for a substitute role.
The following year, Klomp moved to KV Mechelen (not explicitly mentioned in source 1), but it seems there is an error in source 2 as well, since KFC Lommelse SK was the team he joined. He then played for several clubs in Belgium, including Eendracht Aalst.
In 2002, Klomp moved to Cyprus and played for Ethnikos Achnas for a year. He eventually returned to Belgium and finished his career at KVSK United in the Belgian third class in 2004.
