Early Life and Career

Ricardo Jorge Oliveira Ribeiro Duarte, known as Santamaria, was born on 11 February 1982 in Pontinha, Odivelas, Portugal.

Club Career

Santamaria played for several clubs throughout his career. He began with Sporting CP B before moving to the first team of Sporting CP, where he won the Taça de Portugal in the 2001–02 season. He also played for F.C. Marco and C.F. Estrela da Amadora in Portugal.

In addition to playing in Portugal, Santamaria had stints abroad, representing clubs such as S.C. Olhanense, C.D. Pinhalnovense, SD Ponferradina (in Spain), AEP Paphos FC (in Cyprus), and Alki Larnaca FC (also in Cyprus).

International Career

Santamaria represented Portugal at the under-20 and under-21 levels.
