Ricardo Jorge Marques Duarte

Ricardo Jorge Marques Duarte, known as Mangualde, is a Portuguese retired footballer born on 14 February 1982 in Mangualde, Viseu District, Portugal.

Biography

Mangualde was trained in Sporting Portugal's youth academy. However, he never progressed beyond the reserves to become a senior player for the club.

Career

### Early career (1997-2003)

Mangualde played for Sporting CP from 1997 to 2003.

### Oriental Lisbon and Paços de Ferreira (2003-2008)

In 2003, Mangualde joined Clube Oriental de Lisboa. He later signed for Primeira Liga club F.C. Paços de Ferreira in January 2006. During his three-season stint with Paços de Ferreira, he played 23 matches as a starter and helped the team finish sixth in the 2006–07 campaign, qualifying them to the UEFA Cup for the first time in their history.

### S.C. Freamunde and Doxa Katokopias FC (2008-2010)

In 2008, Mangualde joined S.C. Freamunde in the second division of Portugal. However, he only spent one year with the club before moving to Cyprus to join Doxa Katokopias FC.

Statistics

Mangualde played a total of 48 games in the Portuguese first division without scoring any goals.
