Richard St. John Ormerod Wayne (born 27). August 1904 † January 5, 1959 was a British colonial politician and former administrator of Antigua and Barbuda.
Biography
After school education at Eton College and while still studying at Trinity College (Cambridge), which he graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in 1929, the son of a Reverend joined the British colonial service in the then crown colony of Cyprus in 1926. There he last worked from 1941 to 1947 as Commissioner of Labour.
Subsequently, in 1947 he was appointed by King George VI as Administrator of Antigua and Barbuda. After seven years of service, he transferred this office to Alec Lovelace in 1954.
