Rikke Marie Madsen (born August 9, 1997) is a Danish footballer. The forward has been under contract with North Carolina Courage since 2022, but played on loan at Melbourne Victory in the 2022/23 season. Since 2019 she plays for the Danish national team.
Career
Association
Madsen joined VSK Aarhus in 2018 and had 18 appearances in her first season, scoring six goals. The club finished third in the season, missing the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2019/20. After that she moved to Vålerenga Oslo and became vice-champion with the club.
At European level, she could have been used for the first time in the first qualifying round for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2020/21, where Vålerenga will take part on 4 November. November 2020 met the Faroese champion KÍ Klaksvík and won 7-0, but was not used. The qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2021/22 began for them with wins against KFF Mitrovica (5:0) and PAOK Thessaloniki (2:0). In the second round, however, they lost twice (1:3, where they scored the goal for their team, and 2:3) against BK Häcken and missed the first group stage. After two and a half years in Oslo, she left the club. Since January 2022 she plays for Madrid CFF in the Primera División.
In August 2022, she moved to the NWSL franchise North Carolina Courage.
In December 2022, it was loaned to Melbourne Victory. After the end of the season, she returned to the USA.
National team
In April 2013 she came in two friendly games against Germany to her first appearances in the Danish U-16 team and scored two goals in each game. In July 2013 she participated with the U-16 in the Nordic Cup. In August 2013, she played in two matches of the U-17 team in the first qualifying round for the U-17 European Championship 2014, which was held in her home country. With victories against Greece, Wales and the Faroes, they reached the elite round. In this round held in October in Portugal, the Danes took only the last place. In August 2014, she played her first game for the U-19 team, a friendly match against Slovakia. It followed in March 2015 two games at a tournament in La Manga and then a use in the second qualifying round for the U-19 Euro 2015 in the Netherlands. With three victories, the Danes reached the final round in Israel. There she was used in the victory against the hostesses, but remained without goal success. This was followed by narrow defeats against France and the later winner Sweden, after which the Danes were eliminated. In September 2015, she took part with the U-19 team in the first qualifying round in Belarus for the U-19 Euro 2016, in which she had two appearances and reached the elite round in April as a group winner.
