Rivetina caucasica is a kind of endemic prophetic to the Caucasus from Rivetinidae family.
Features
Body length is about 6 centimeters. The length and width of the head are almost the same. The wings in men are well developed, the ends of the wings reach the abdomen tip. The wings of the females are shorter and not longer than the front legs. There are 2 pointed organs that have evolved to dig the soil while leaving eggs in the females. The front wings are translucent, the back is brown, the bottom side is black.
Subtypes
Bottoms are seen in Central East and Central Asia. Cyprus has been reported in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
