Róbert Kociš

Early Life and Career

Róbert Kociš (born 27 December 1973) is a retired Slovak football striker. He was born in Trebišov.

Club Career

After starting his career, Kociš moved to Germany to play for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga in 1996. During his time at Fortuna, he scored only one goal and was subsequently transferred to FK Austria Wien, where he stayed for a short period. He then returned to Fortuna for another half year before being loaned out to FC Carl Zeiss Jena.

Kociš's next move took him to Cyprus, where he played for Omonia Nicosia, APOEL Nicosia (scoring 12 goals in the 1998/1999 season), and Anagennisi Deryneia. In 2000, he returned to his home country and played for 1st FC Tatran Prešov on a permanent basis, as well as on loan with FK Mesto Prievidza and ŠK Vegum Dolné Vestenice.

Later Career

In the summer of 2003, Kociš ended his professional career in Austria with SV Bad Ischl and ASKÖ Gosau. He then transitioned to an amateur basis, managing football sides in Prievidza District and surrounding regions, as he holds a UEFA B licence.

Personal Life

Kociš is the father of two sons, Adrián and Tomáš. After retiring from professional football, he began working at Nováky Power Plant.
