Early Life and Career
Romain Marchessou was born on September 9, 1985, in Monaco.
Weightlifting Career
Marchessou started weightlifting at the age of 13. He joined the weightlifting department of AS Monaco and began competing in junior competitions. Between 2002 and 2004, he achieved success in the junior sector, including finals at the Junior European Championships.
In 2005, Marchessou decided to pursue a professional career in weightlifting. He went on to achieve his greatest success with two silver medals and a bronze medal in team competition at the tournaments of the small states of Europe in 2005 and 2007. In 2007, he also reached the final of the Weightlifting World Championships.
Olympic Participation
In August 2008, Marchessou participated in the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, representing Monaco in the weightlifting competition.
