Early Life and Education

Roseay Sezer, also known as Gülay or Gülsemin Söylemez, was born on May 24, 1970, in Istanbul, Turkey. She began her musical life at the age of five under the influence of her father, Eyüp Ercan Sezer (also referred to as Ayub Arjan Söylemez), a famous musician and composer.

Career

Gülay trained under her father's guidance and learned music and its basics from an early age. She worked as a dental technician for many years but eventually left this profession in 2000 due to her passion for music. In 2001, she began studying at the Department of Music at the Eastern Mediterranean University (also referred to as the Mediterranean University) in Northern Cyprus.

Musical Career

Gülay's musical career started with the release of her arabesk album "Her Evening" (also known as "Every Night") in 1988. She later released pop albums, including "Sevi Masalı" in 1995 and "The Ideal Love" in 1997, both of which were produced by BMG Music.

Television Career

In 1999, Gülay was appointed to present the public music program "Damlalar" for BRT Television. She continued her education at the Eastern Mediterranean University, graduating first in her class in 2007 after studying there for several years.
