Biography
Yuri Ivanovich Rudnev was born on May 9, 1935 in the village of New Poletaevsky district of the Tambov region (now part of the Tokarevsky district) in the family of a worker. From the age of ten he was brought up in an orphanage. In 1950 he graduated from the seven-year plan and on the recommendation of the Bakhchisarai orphanage entered the special school of the Air Force of Yerevan. In 1953 he graduated from a special school, but for health reasons (because of vision) he could not continue his studies at the flight military school and entered the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies. In 1954, in connection with the reorganization, he was transferred to the Moscow Institute of International Relations of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
