Rui Dolores Azevedo
Early Life and Career
Rui Filipe Dolores Azevedo was born on August 1, 1982, in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. He began his football career as a left winger.
Club Career
Dolores played for several clubs throughout his career, including CD Feirense, SC Beira-Mar, and Paços de Ferreira, where he made the majority of his appearances. In total, he played 151 games in the Portuguese first division (Primeira Liga) and scored 7 goals.
In January 2007, Dolores signed with Vitória Setúbal for a six-month period, playing 12 games and helping the club maintain its position in Superliga. After his contract expired, he joined Nea Salamina in Cyprus, where he played regularly despite the team's poor performance. He was later contacted by Alki Larnaca, signing until the end of the season.
In the summer of 2008, Dolores returned to Portugal and signed with Beira-Mar for two seasons, playing in Liga Vitalis. This marked his return to a club he had left three and a half years earlier.
