Sergey Sergeyevich Rumyantsev (09.09.1928, Zavrazhye, Kostroma province - 19.07.2013 Kostroma) - Soviet, Russian, painter. Honored Artist of the RSFSR and Russia.

Biography
Born on September 9, 1928 in Zavrazhye, Parfenyevsky district of Kostroma region.

In 1959 he graduated from the art studio at the Kostroma Regional House of Folk Art, in 1959 - correspondence courses at the Central House of Folk Art named after N. K. Krupskaya at V. I. Gruzdev and N. M. Kondrashin.

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1968.

Honored Artist of Russia.

Winner of the regional award named after Academician D.S. Likhachev.

Participant of regional, zonal, republican and all-Union art exhibitions, as well as foreign (in Washington, Los Angeles, Seoul, Tokyo, Piotrkov-Tribunalsky, Munich, Durham, Huvinkyai, London)

He worked mainly in the genre of landscape and still life.
