History
On November 4, 1882, the first Bot was built, on which was placed a memorable plaque . In 1921 the Port Workshop was founded After 1945, the plant was renamed Shipbuilding and Shipbuilding Factory Ivan Dimitrov. During certain periods of its development, the yard produces dredges and is the only manufacturer of 5-, 15- and 20-ton mechanisms and port cranes as well as 80-ton mounting cranes under the licence of Chereti & Tanfany, Italy.
In September 1991, the former shipyard and ship repair plant In April 1999, the yard was privatized by Beteligungsgesell GmbH, Germany.

Manufactured vessels

Since then, non-self-propelled vessels have been built at the plant:
diesel-oil and dry cargo containers with dedwaite (full load capacity, DWT) up to 1500 tonnes;
DWT tankers up to 5870 tonnes;
tankers with DWT 3500 tonnes with unlimited navigation zone and DWT 5000 tonnes;
dry cargo ships and container carriers carrying 4680 DWT.
The yard's exports are directed to Russia, China, Iran, Norway, Singapore, Germany, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Austria. During this period, the yard also performed repairs on river ships.
