Ruslan Mikhailovich Nimchinsky

Biography

Ruslan Mikhailovich Nimchinsky (born May 9, 1973) is a Ukrainian diplomat. He was born in Vinkovtsi, Khmelnytsky region, Ukrainian SSR.

Education and Early Career

In 1995, Nimchinsky graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Diplomatic Career

Nimchinsky has held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine:

* Third Secretary of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO
* First Secretary of the Department of Arms Control and Military-Technical Cooperation, member of the delegation of Ukraine to the Third Conference on Promoting the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty
* Head of the Department of Arms Control and Military-Technical Cooperation

Recent Appointments

In 2015, Nimchinsky was appointed Chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in Russia. He held this position until 2019.

As of 2019, Nimchinsky serves as Director of the Department of International Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

On August 12, 2020, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus.
