Distribution
Fish are marine, but sometimes young fish enter from the sea/ocean into river mouths, which is why it is also found in freshwater water. Laurel prefers a subtropical climate, in Europe it is most common in the Atlantic waters (from Norway to Morocco) and those of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

This species is endemic to Brazil.

In various Mediterranean countries, sea bass is bred both in open cages in the sea and in enclosed areas with a pool (s) where it is fed with another fish. There's no difference in the taste of sea bass or kennel.
