Distribution and habitat
This species is endemic to Brazil.

It surrounds the coastal and sandy bottoms of oceans and seas in subtropical regions. It occurs at a depth of 15 to 160 m, at a water temperature of 14,1 to 20,2 °C and a salinity of 37,2
