The old Greek epic is the first of the three literary families to emerge in ancient Greece. It's also called Elyan or ancient Greek. It is a prerequisite for today's form of literature. Its shape is mainly oral, and the most significant epic works are recorded centuries after its creation.
The elean epic is divided into two types: heroic and didactical. The most famous Greek epic poets are Homer and Hesiod. Through their works the problems of the old Greek epic and the techniques used in its creation are addressed.
