Stavros Lygeros (1953) is a Greek journalist and writer.

Biographical data
He was born in 1953 in Athens, but spent childhood in Patras.

Graduate in Mathematics, University of Athens, holds graduate studies in International Relations and International Economic Relations at École des Hautes Études in Paris.

He was a member of the Coordination Committee in the Polytechnic uprising in November 1973.

He has a daughter, also a journalist, Nefeli.

Reported work
He has worked as a parliamentary, political and diplomatic editor in newspapers and magazines. He has also worked on radio (ANT1, SKEI, Planet, Real) and television stations. For 23 years, from 1989 to 2012 he worked as a political and diplomatic commentator in the Kathimerini newspaper. Then on Real News and First Issue. From April 2017 until today he runs the SLpress.gr information site.
