The channel broadcasts most major sporting events and leagues including association football, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf, motor sports, cycling, boxing, wrestling, hockey, athletics. It was previously the world's largest broadcaster of live rugby and cricket (surpassed by Sky Sports), and the second-largest Premier League broadcaster, broadcasting live in HD through its content service Senior via Premier League.

In addition to its satellite channels, SuperSport also provides content on M-Net, CSN, and occasionally M-Net HD. By September 2020, like Sky Sports, SuperSport had started running thematic channels, where most major sports have their own dedicated channel.
