Tarick Ajai Johnson (born December 1, 1981 in Lakenheath) is a former British-American basketball player.
Career
British-born Johnson played basketball in the United States at Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. From 2000 to 2004 he was a student and basketball player at Campbell University (also North Carolina). The best score of his four years in the NCAA reached the 1.93 meter tall Johnson in the 2002/03 season with 17.1 per encounter.
Johnson began his profile career in Germany, he switched to the 2004/05 season to the polar bears Bremerhaven, with whom he made the promotion to the basketball Bundesliga in spring 2005. He remained another game year with the polar bears and came in 2005/06 to ten Bundesliga appearances (1.5 points / game), before he separated from the team in January 2006 and changed to Landstede Zwolle in the Netherlands.
In the 2006/07 season, Johnson was under contract with London United in the UK and then played three years in Spain: 2007/08 with the second division side CB L’Hospitalet, 2008/09 with the third division club Gijon Baloncesto, for which he scored 20.1 points per encounter, and 2009/10 again in the second Spanish league with CB Tarragona. In the 2010/11 season, the British international was signed to ETHA Engomis in Cyprus.
