Tasos Korfis (real name Tasos Robotis, Corfu, 1929-1994) was a Greek prose, poet, translator and anthologist.

Life Story
Tasos Korfis was born in 1929 in Corfu. He was the son of the musician Gerasimos Robotis Lixouri, 1903 – Corfu, 1987).

He published his first poems in the magazine Dawn and the newspaper of the Dawn Tower while a student. In 1947-1951 he studied at the Naval Cadets School. He served as a Navy officer from 1951 to 1982 when he retired with the rank of Vice Admiral Chief of the Fleet. During his military career he was honored with many distinctions, graduated from the Naval School of War and the NATO Defence School, while representing Greece in international staff.

He was involved in prose, poetry, essay, study and translation and for his activity he was awarded the Cyprus Letters Prize, the Nikos Kavvadia Prize and the Second State Narrative Award. He was the founder of Prosperos publications and the literary magazine Recycling .He died on 2 December 1994.
