Tasos Hadjivassiliou (Serres, 26 August 1981) is a Greek politician and internationalologist, doctor of Political Science and History and MP of Serres with New Democracy. In the 7 July 2019 election he was elected MP with New Democracy in the constituency of Serres. He draws his lineage from Sheep of Serres.
Information
He is an elected assistant professor of international relations and the EU. at the Hellenic American University in New Hampshire, U.S. and Political Scientist specializing in International Relations, a Doctor of Political Science and History at Panteion University. He also graduated as a master from the Turkish Studies Department of the University of Cyprus. He continued his studies in International Politics and Southeast European issues at the University of Athens. He has received scholarships from the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the "Alexandros S. Onassis" Foundations, "Lilian Voudouris" and "Bossaki". He has also received excellence awards from the Republic of Cyprus, the University of Cyprus and the European Commission.
He speaks English, French, Spanish and Turkish. It has been written for 20 years in newspapers and scientific journals in Greece and abroad, while also hosted as a political analyst on Greek and international television networks. In addition, he has participated in writing books on International Relations and History.
He has worked as a Scientific Fellow in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hellenic Parliament, and as a special researcher in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus. He has participated in research projects in Athens, Brussels, Strasbourg, Istanbul and Nicosia and has taught as a researcher at Ankara University and Panteion University. In the private sector, he worked as an International Business Development Advisor, specializing in the exploitation of European programmes and the implementation of business synergies in the Greek and international markets.
In the May 2012 election he was nominated with the Democratic Alliance in the Serres constituency where he finished first but was not elected. In the 2019 election he was nominated with New Democracy in the Serres constituency where he was elected MP as 3rd. In the May and June 2023 elections he was re-elected MP, as 2nd.
