Tasos Trifonos (Lemesos, 4 December 1974) is a Greek Cypriot presenter and journalist. He became known from the TV game presentation The Weakest Cricos, which in Greece is aired by ERT1 (2022-2023) while in the previous three years (2019-2022) was aired by SKAI. In Cyprus he presented "The weakest link" from 2017 to 2020 from Cyprus' public television, RIK1. Since 2020 it belongs to the potential of No.1 in TV channel ratings in Cyprus, ALPHA Cyprus where it presents daily the popular knowledge game "The Chase". He is also presenter of the TET-A-TET show at ALPHA, in which he interviews great personalities in Greece and Cyprus. He is also the director of the LOVE FM radio station, in which he also does the morning show along with Christiana Artemis (actor and screenwriter), which remains No1 in ratings from 2012 to today.

Biographical data and career

He was born in Limassol on 4 December 1974. In 1994, after completing his military service in Cyprus, he moved to Athens for studies. He studied at Panteion University, the media and communication department, where he graduated. Still being a student, he began working in different magazines, newspapers, and television shows. He has worked in the IMAK of Petros Kostopoulos (Down Town magazine), in Lyberi publications (LIFE&STYLE, STATUS, VOGUE), in the Minos EMI label as public relations director and in ANT1's shows with Anna Drouza, Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Maria Bakodimos and PRIVE in MEGA with Elena Katritsis, initially as a reporter and then as a show consultant. In 2003, he started in the morning zone of LOVE RADIO along with Helen Manousakis. In 2005 he took over the station's address until 2012, while from 2008 onwards he made an afternoon radio show with Margaret Droutsa. In the summer of 2012 he returned to Cyprus to take a final position in the SPP MEDIA group and while creating and presenting the television show talk-show "Tet-A-Tet" at RIK. The show was awarded for two consecutive years as the favorite talk show on Cypriot television, and has hosted great personalities from Greece and Cyprus and is now shown on Alpha Cyprus by him. In 2017, he took over at the RIK the presentation of the game show "The Weakest Crick", which experienced huge success and was aired daily for three seasons. In 2019 he took over the presentation of the same game in Greece at SKAI, thus being the world's first host to present this game simultaneously in two countries. Since September 2020 it is now part of Alpha Cyprus' potential and presents a also very successful game abroad, "The Chase" which is successfully shown in countries such as US, Australia, United Kingdom, Israel, Spain
