Taye Ismaila Taiwo-Morganti, a Nigerian footballer, was born in Lagos, Nigeria.
He spent a great majority of his career at the Olympique de Marseille with which he was champion of France in 2010 and won two Coupes de la Ligue as well as a Champions Trophy and an Intertoto Cup in 2005.
With his selection, he competed in the CAN in 2006, 2008 and 2010 and in the 2010 World Cup.

He started his professional career in Nigeria at Makurdi's Lobi Stars.
Marseille Olympic Games (2005-2011)
On the advice of player agent Pierre Frelot, Pope Diouf recruits at the Olympique de Marseille the young Nigerian Taye Taiwo for an amount in order to compensate for the departure of Bixente Lizarazu returned to Bayern Munich. He arrived at the OM on 1 January and played his first game with the CFA team against AS Saint-Priest.
After only two games with the Olympian reserve, Philippe Troussier incorporated him into the professional roster in which he won at the end of the 2004-2005 season as an incumbent. He played his first game against RC Lens and scored his first goal at OM.
The following season, he scored his first goal against the Bern YB in the Intertoto Cup before winning the competition. He then scored his first goal in Ligue 1 in the against Olympique Lyonnais from the free kick and delivered a decisive pass for Christian Gimenez against AC Ajaccio counting for the 2005-2006 season. In the semifinals of the 2006 Coupe de France against Stade Rennes, he scored a direct free kick with impressive power (about ) . He played the final of the 2006 Coupe de France but OM bowed against the Paris SG two goals to one.
In the following season, he became a player in the Olympian squad before playing a second Coupe de France final but bowed to FC Sochaux for shots at the goal in which he was the first to start and deceive Teddy Richert.
On , he played his first Champions League match against the Beşiktaş and scored his first goal in the Champions League in the game back to Turkey two months later, the one of an overpowering hit of the . Despite some irregularities that pushed OM to recruit Juan Angel Krupovisa, Taye Taiwo made a good season punctuated by a place in the League 1 model team during the 2008 UNFP trophies. He was also part of the championship's standard team in the following season.
In the 2009-2010 season, OM won the Coupe de la Ligue double and Taye Taiwo scored three goals, including one against Olympique Lyonnais, allowing two goals to be won by OM and a decisive penalty goal against US Boulogne five days from the end of the championship. He then won the Champions Trophy against the Paris SG during the shootout session.
