Team formations of the Chess Olympiad 2004
--- CONTENT ---
The tables give the list of teams at the Chess Olympiad 2004 in Calvià. 129 teams took part in the Olympics, which hosted a tournament in the Swiss system over 14 rounds. Among them were, in addition to the A-team, two other teams of the host country. While the B team was placed according to their results, the third team played out of competition and received no placement assigned. The classification was primarily based on Brettpunkte, then the Buchholz classification and finally on team points. Further evaluation criteria were envisaged but did not have to be used. Each team included four regular and a maximum of two substitutes.
