Terence Spencer Nicholas Quick (18 February 1947) is a Greek journalist and politician.

From November 2016 to July 2019 he was Deputy Minister of Greek Democracy supporting the government of Alexis Tsipras, while in February 2019 he was again sworn in as MP replacing Thanasis Papachristopoulos who resigned.

Biographical data

Personal life and studies
Terence Quik was born in Thessaloniki on 18 February 1947. He is the son of the British Philip Quick. From mother's point of view, it attracts its origin from Cephalenia. His parents divorced when he was six.

He studied, for a year, at the High Industrial School and is a graduate of Panteion University. He married and divorced twice and has three children (his son is British director Richard Quick). Various rumours have been released that he has Jewish origins which he disproves and declares Greek Christian Orthodox. Plus, he wishes to be called Nicholas.

He's an Olympic supporter.

Vocational course
Since 1966 he worked in the newspapers "National", "Light of Sports", "Today" and as a correspondent in Athens, "The Sun". Terence Quik for many years featured the main newscast on ERT state television. Until 1989 he resigned he presented the main newscast along with Liana Kanelli, Evi Demiri, Ellie Stais and Antonis Zissimato, Costas Serezis, Nasos Athanasiou, Alexander Antonopoulos, Costas Junta etc.

He then presented for about ten years the main newscast at ANT1 TV station with co-host Nana Palatsaki, Sophia Tsiligianni, Tatiana Stefanidou, Liana Kanelli etc. In the spring of 1992 and for the next 2 years he presented the weekly show "Tonight with Terence Quik" in the evening zone with guests from all the fixtures and after a year he had the editing and presentation of the show "Together Sunday" in the noon zone. At the same time he worked on the ANT1 radio presenting the information show "Morning line".

He then featured a daily morning briefing show on Star Channel. His daily appearance with the show "Good morning with Terence" followed on Alter Channel TV.

In 2008, in Thessaloniki and from ET3's channel he presented for the second time the show "Tonight with Terence Quik" broadcast each week with guests from the various fixtures. As of 1 February 2010 he took over the presentation of the afternoon bulletin at Blue Sky television station. In September 2010 he moved to Kontra Channel and for a time featured the main newscast. He is also a main presenter at the Cypriot channel EXTRA, working with the well-known Cypriot presenter Georgia Panagis.
