Tessel Tina Middag (*23). December 1992 in Almere) is a Dutch footballer who is used both in midfield and in attack. She won the Dutch Cup with two clubs – ADO The Hague and Ajax Amsterdam – and played for the women’s national team of the Netherlands for the first time in 2012.
Club career
Middag played for ADO The Hague for the first time on 3 October 2011 and was used a total of 18 times in the season, reaching ten goals. In doing so, she contributed significantly to winning the championship and crowned the season with winning the Dutch Women’s Cup. After the season she moved to the newly founded women’s football department of Ajax Amsterdam. With Ajax, she won the Dutch Women’s Cup again in 2014. After two years at Ajax, she moved to Manchester City on June 3, 2016. She won the FA WSL and FA WSL Cup double in her debut season before announcing her departure from Manchester in June 2018. On July 16, 2018, Middag signed with West Ham United. A renewed cruciate ligament tear prevented her use in the 2018/19 season, only for the 2019/20 season she became fit again. In the COVID-19-related shortened season, West Ham finished eighth. Middag was used in 13 of the 14 games played. After the expiration of her contract, she left the Londoners for Italy, where she now plays for AC Florence.
In August 2021, she moved to Scotland for the Glasgow Rangers.
National teams
