- CONTENT -
The Cherylite (scientific name: Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme) is a small breed of tomato, popular mainly as a preacher, salads, as ornaments for food and preparation of sauces. The taste of vegetable tomatoes is similar to that of the household tomato, but is not the same, and most are sweeter. Their diameter ranges from 3 to 10 cm, and their shape is between a toyeptic bullet. In a botanical manner, the ministerial ear was defined as “weed” but over the years it was set up for the conversation. The name of the ministerial tomato stems from its attachment to Cherry (Cherry in English).

History of History

The origin of the wild tomato in South America. The original tomato was very small, as the size of the pea, and very sweet. She was first shot in Mexico, but we don’t know how she came to the place and why she was first there. In Mexico, tomatoes have grown in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Apparently, the Aztecs and the Incass, natives of the region, were raised to Srichi before they were able to grow large tomatoes.

Tomato varieties, including tomatoes, were brought to Europe on journeys from Spain to the new world. This should be assumed because there is evidence for their existence in Europe from the 17th century.

The earliest European description, apparently, appears in the connection of the Swiss botanist Giamerin: "A plant kit" that saw light in 1623. In the book, a breed is described in the form of clusters similar to the dolls. In the late 18th century, dozens of mentions of ministerial tomatoes appeared in various journals and magazines.

Shari tomatoes were not common and popular until the second half of the 20th century, they were very rare and almost not sold; their use was made in private growth or for ornamental purposes. But in the 1970s and 1980s, the popularity of vegetable tomatoes has risen, for example, the incidence of the term in books that have been scanned by Google has increased significantly in these decades.

Popularization and the beginning of trading in the tomatoes of ministers is responsible for the British network Marx & Spencer. In the late 1970s, the network’s people wanted to market a more delicious breed of tomatoes. The commercial tomatoes at the time were harvested before they were ripened so that the shelf life would be profitable, so they lost a load and their shell was thick. The network’s people were interested in a taster, with longer shelf life. The network’s people turned to British Farmer Bernard Sparks who provided tomatoes to stores and expressed the desire for more successful tomatoes. After the number of transplants between tomato varieties, Chery came to Spix for a satisfactory result and in the early 1980s, the network began to grow and sell the first commercial strain of Sri Lankan tomatoes in England, Spain, Cyprus, and then in South Africa.

At the same time before the Library of X, one of the main food fields on the Internet, Gad Goldberg (which in his book defined himself as a Zionist that was interested in the development of the food industry in Israel) turned to Professor Nahor and Professor of Life Rabinowitz from the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem with the idea of developing a improved breed of tomato. Even before the turn, the two worked on developing varieties that would suit the growth of the hot Israeli climate, including a regular tomato species with long shelf life, in encouraging the Israeli government that promoted the issue. According to Rabinovich, the desire for the development of tomato varieties Sri Shari was mutual; Goldberg provided funding and all the seeds available at the time for household growth. The breed developed by Kid and Rabinovich was a flavorful petition, with long shelf life, and comfortable for commercial packaging (two arranged columns around the back) licenses for sperm marketing have been sold to several Israeli companies. The breed gained popularity in the late 1980s and sales peaked in 1992. The development brings to the Hebrew University more than all other commercial developments together. In the decades of
