Mukhlid Yahya Al-Mutawalli (1948, Mosul - September 29, 2017, Austria) is an Iraqi painter and visual artist.

His Life
He was born to a noble family from Mosul, his father Yahya Al-Khatib Mukhtar from the Bab Lakash neighborhood in Mosul and one of the notables of Nineveh Governorate. He is one of the founders of the cultural renaissance in Iraq and belongs to the tribe of Al-Abid, which is one of the Arab tribes in Iraq and the Arab world. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts at Baghdad University in 1973, and he also holds a higher diploma in decoration and ornamentation from the Rome Academy of Fine Arts in 1977, graduating with honors. He continued his studies in Rome on his own expense, and he holds a certificate of proficiency in visual arts from the World Center in Italy, as well as a certificate of proficiency for contemporary artists in the world from Italy.
