The European Food Safety Agency (), which provides independent consultations and information about existing and possible risk related to food and food. According to the Treaty of 178 / 2002, the European Parliament and the Council from 28 January 2002, the agency has the following tasks:

Structure
The agency consists of four organs:
Control Council: creates a budget which is approved by a annual working program. The Council is responsible for successful cooperation with the partners inside and outside the EU.
The Executive Director: is responsible for operating, cadaver questions and for developing applications after consultation with bodies and members of the EU; it is appointed by the Administrative Council for five years.
Consulting forum: helps the executive director. It includes representatives of state-of-office ministers who perform a task similar to the agency; the member-states Observers (Norway, Iceland, Switzerland) and Europe. It's not less than four times a year.
The scientific committee and scientific groups, each in their field, provide scientific conclusions and recommendations. It comes from highly skilled professionals. The scientific committee is coordinating with scientific work and prepares scientific conclusion if the question applies to more than one group or not. The scientific committee consists of a bunch of scientific groups and six independent experts who do not include scientific groups. The resolution of the scientific committee and scientific groups is adopted by most of the votes and are added to the opinion of the minority.
By the beginning of 2019 in the European Food Agency, nearly 450 people were involved.
