The secret of Puente Viejo is a Spanish television serial produced by Boomerang TV and broadcast on Antena 3 from 2011 to 2020. It is about the lives of the inhabitants of a small fictional town in northern Spain called the Old Bridge, in which love, revenge, betrayal and comedy are always present. It premiered on February 23, 2011 in maximum audience hours, with almost 3,000 spectators, a 17% share of screen and leading over the rest of the chains. The final season was starring María Bouzas, Ramón Ibarra, Silvia Marsó and Manuel Regueiro, among others.

The places where the fiction was filmed were: Leganés, La Granjilla (El Escorial) and Torremocha de Jarama; Comunidad de Madrid, Spain.

On Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 22: 15, the first chapter was issued, leading in prime time. From Monday of the same month, the series was released from Monday to Friday at 17: 15.

On August 19, 2012, with 381 chapters, the series renewed for a second season, which was 16 years after the first season. That same month, the series began to be broadcast in Italy, becoming a real success.

In September 2014 the series changed its schedule slightly, going to be broadcast at 17: 45, also from Monday to Friday, and later became the longest series of Spanish television and leader in its strip, consolidating itself as the most seen daily series.

On February 2, 2015, the series reached a thousand chapters.

On January 24, 2019 it reached the 2000 chapters and on September 11, the series again experienced a great change with another temporary jump, this time of 4 years, and was renewed almost all the distribution, maintaining only of the previous seasons to María Bouzas, Ramón Ibarra, Ivan Montes, Paula Ballesteros, Mario Zorrilla, Maribel Ripoll, José Gabriel Campos, César Capilla and Selu Nieto.

The outcome of the series was announced on 23 February 2020 for the end of the television season (most - June).

On March 23, it was announced that from the 27th the series was to be broadcast from Monday to Thursday, while on Friday the special ones were broadcast until always, Puente Viejo, where the best moments of the series were remembered from the beginning. The chapter was reissued on Friday, May 8.

On May 11, it was announced that the series would continue to be broadcast on the afternoon strip until May 15, and its final episode would be broadcast on May 19, 2020, although the next day it was announced that the final was delayed to May 20.

On May 20, the final chapter of the series was issued, leading in prime time and with an audience of 1,740,000 spectators and 13% share, thus finishing a series that is already part of the history of television.

Three years after the end, in July 2023, Avesmedia recovered the emblematic series and began to issue two chapters per day since July 24 on its second channel
