"Third Hellenic Republic"

Third Greek Republic is called the period of government of the Greek state from Metapolitization (1974) until now and is historically separated from the period of the dictatorship of the Regiments (1967–1974). It is considered the third period of the Hellenic Republic, with the second period concerning the political status of Greece from 1924 to 1935 and as the first period in the years of the Revolution of 1821 until the establishment of the Kingdom of Otto in 1832. The term "Metapolitization" (in the sense of changing state) is also used as an alternative political term for this historical period (especially for its first years).
Also, as the Third Hellenic Republic is considered in the constitutional history of Greece, the democratic Citizenship established in the country after the dictatorship of 1967-1974 chosen by the Greek people, with the Resolution of 8 December 1974 on the form of state and concluded with the passing of the Constitution of 1975.
Although the terms First and Second Greek Republic are not in widespread use, the term 'Third Hellenic Republic' is established.
Transpolarisation
On 15 July 1974 the dictatorial regime led by Brigadier General Ioannidis organized a coup to overthrow the President of the Republic of Cyprus Archbishop Makarios. The coup caused the invasion of Turkish troops in Cyprus. In the face of the military's inability to handle the situation, Constantine Karamanlis was called from Paris and on 24 July he was sworn in as Prime Minister and formed a political government of national unity in order to restore parliamentary institutions.
History
New Democracy Governments 1974-1981
The November 1974 Elections gave the New Republic, the Party founded by Karamanlis, the absolute majority with a percentage of 54.37%, while after the December 1974 Resolution, in which the Unbasile Republic was selected as a Citizenship with a rate of nearly 70%, the reign was abolished. The Parliament resulting from the Elections drafted a new Constitution ratified in 1975 and in force until today. The main measures of Constantine Karamanlis' government were the reintegration of Greece into NATO's military arm and the integration of Greece into the European Economic Community, and there was also an educational reform with the increase in compulsory education from six to nine years. Finally, the primary became the official language in schools and more generally in the Greek state. In the 1977 parliamentary election, Constantine Karamanlis again became Prime Minister, but in 1980 he resigned from the prime ministership and was elected President of the Republic on 15 May 1980. The Prime Minister and President of the New Republic became George Rallis.
