Early Life and Career
Thomas Pichlmann was born on 24 April 1981 in Vienna.
Football Career
Pichlmann began his career as a football player in the youth of SC Lanzendorf in 1989. He later joined ASK Vösendorf in 1991, before moving to SK Rapid Wien for the first time in 1993. During this period, he played alternately for both clubs.
### Professional Career
Pichlmann made his debut in the Bundesliga on 6 October 1999 in a 1-0 match against Sturm Graz, becoming a starter at 35' minutes into the game. He scored a penalty in his first appearance.
In the following season, he played for First Vienna in Erste Liga, scoring 6 goals in 22 appearances.
Pichlmann then moved to Leoben and later to Pasching. On 11 August 2005, he made his debut in the UEFA Cup against Zenit Saint Petersburg (2-2) in the second qualifying round of the competition.
### Later Career
In 2006, Pichlmann joined Austria Wien, where he debuted in the Champions League on 8 August 2006 against Benfica (1-1) in the preliminary round of the third round. He entered a few minutes from the start.
Pichlmann won the domestic cup final with Austria Wien, although he was only a late substitute.
In the middle of the 2007–2008 season, Pichlmann joined Grosseto of Serie B, after playing just one game for the Austria Wien senior side earlier that season.
