_Creeping Thyme_ (Thymus serpyllum or Thymus zygis) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the genus _Thymus_ of the family Lamiaceae. It is also known as Wild Thyme, Mother of Thyme, or Creeping Thyme.

The native region of Creeping Thyme includes the Levant, Egypt, North Africa, Morocco, Cyprus, Turkey, and all regions north of the Mediterranean Sea basin.
**Plant Description**
Creeping Thyme is a low-growing, spreading plant that grows by stolons. It has small, elliptical leaves with a blue-gray color and produces tiny, pink or white flowers in the summer months.
