Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods (born December 30, 1975) is an American professional golfer widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time. His achievements have made him the most successful golfer to date.
### Achievements
Woods has won 14 major professional golf tournaments, which is the second-highest achievement by a male player (Jack Nicklaus has 18 wins). He is among the top three players to have won 71 PGA Tour events and holds more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer. Woods was the youngest player to achieve a career Grand Slam and the youngest and fastest player to win 50 tour events. Additionally, he is one of only two golfers, after Jack Nicklaus, to have achieved a career Grand Slam three times.

Woods has won 16 World Golf Championships and held his position as world number one for the most consecutive weeks and total weeks in history. He was also the highest-paid professional player, earning approximately $905 million in 2010 from wins and endorsements. In 2008, he was the world's most paid athlete, making about $110 million U.S. dollars a year as prize money and advertising revenue.
### Personal Life
Tiger Woods is of mixed ethnicity, being a quarter Caucasian, a Chinese, a Japanese, an Indian, and a Neanderthal (note: this last term is likely referring to his indigenous American ancestry).
