History

Soviet times
Tiligul was the oldest football club in Tiraspol, it was founded in 1938 under the name Spartak. In the early 60s, the team performed in the class "B" of Soviet football called "Pishchevik" (Tiraspol), then the names changed to "Luchaferul", "Energy", "Dniester". In 1978, the team was called "Start", then for 7 seasons, until 1985, adopted the name "Automobile". In 1985, there was another name change, now the team was called "Textiler", this season the team became the owner of the Cup of the Moldavian SSR. The following season, Textiler took 2nd place in its second league zone, the team has never risen so high. In the 1987 season, a decline followed, the team took 8th place in the championship. In 1989, under the name "Textiler", the team won the tournament in the V zone of the second league. Then there was a transition tournament, where the rivals were "Volyn" (Lutsk) and "Wings of the Soviets" (Kuibyshev), in four meetings "Textiler" won 3 victories and 1 time drew, so the team won the tournament and received promotion in the class. In 1990, Tiraspol residents played in the first league of the Soviet championship called "Tiras", scored 10 victories, suffered 13 defeats and 15 draws, with a difference of scored and missed goals 32-45 Tiraspol team scored 35 points and took 13th place. In 1991, on the basis of the self-settlement club "Tiras" was created FC "Tiligul", taken on the balance sheet by a private entrepreneur. The president of the club was the owner of a sportswear company Grigory Viktorovich Korzun. The head coach of the team at that time was Vladimir Weber, Evgeny Shinkarenko, Anatoly Azarenkov and Alexander Verevkin helped him. In the 1991 season, Tiligul, participating in the first league of the USSR championship, took the 2nd place and received the right in the 1992 season to participate in the Higher League of the national championship. 1992–2009
Since 1992, Tiligul began to participate in the championship of Moldova, the team has long been in the leaders of local football. Six times Tiraspol residents won silver medals, three times took bronze, but to win the championship “Tiligulu” and failed, the championship title went to Chisinau “Zimbra”.
