Todor Barzov

Early Life and Club Career

Todor Ivanov Barzov-Barza was born on 21 February 1953 in Dolna Mitropoliya, Bulgaria. He began his football career at a young age and played for Spartacus (Pleven) in 1971.

Playing Style and Achievements

Barzov is known as a skilled free-kick taker who scored numerous goals from different positions throughout his career, which spanned almost 18 years. He was a midfielder who played with great skill and precision.

During his time at Levski Sofia, Barzov won two Bulgarian championships (1976–77, 1978–79) and two Bulgarian Cups (1976–77, 1978–79). He also won the Balkan Cup with Bulgaria in 1973–76. In addition to his domestic achievements, Barzov played a significant role in Levski's success in European tournaments.

International Career

Barzov made 18 appearances for the Bulgarian national team and scored 2 goals. His international career was marked by his participation in the Balkan Cup, where he won with Bulgaria in 1973–76.

Later Career and Personal Life

After retiring from football, Barzov went on to become a businessman. He is also known for setting a record in Greece by scoring 11 penalty shots in a row while playing for Doxa Drama F.C.
