Tommaso Ammanati

Tommaso Ammanati, said the Neapolitan cardinal (born in Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy, and died in Avignon, Italy) is an Italian pseudocardinal created by Avignon's antipap Clement VII. He is the brother of the pseudocardinal Bonifacio Ammannati (1397).

Biography
Tommaso Ammanati is an auditor at the Roman Rota, the pope's referendum in Avignon and archdeacon of Sankt Castor de Cardona, in the diocese of Trier. In 1374 he was appointed bishop of Nemosia in Cyprus and apostolic legate to Emperor Charles IV. Ammanati abandons the obedience of Pope Urban VI and joins the obedience of the Antipap Clement VII. He was promoted Archbishop of Naples in 1379.

The Antipap Clement VII created him cardinal during the Consistory of the . Cardinal Ammanati took part in the conclave of 1394 in which the Anti-Pope Benedict XIII was elected and was vicar of the church of Draguignan.
