History
In January 1966, by order of Glavtyumenneftegaz, the Tomskneft oil field department was created - the official date of birth of the Tomsk oil company. In 1969, the first million tons of oil were produced. In April 1974, 25 million tons of Tomsk oil were produced.
In July 1977, Tomskneft was transformed into Tomskneft Production Association, which separated from Glavtyumenneftegaz.
In 1981, Tomskneft turned 15 years old, the level of production reached 10 million tons per year. In 1989, 15 million tons of oil were produced.
In 1993, the privatization of Tomskneft was carried out. In May 1994, the Eastern Oil Company (VNK) was formed, the core of which was Tomskneft JSC.
In August 1996, Tomskneft turned 30 years old, by that time more than 275 million tons of oil had been produced.
By the end of 1998, the main owner of Tomskneft, through a controlling stake in the VNK, was the oil company Yukos. More than 70% of the Board of Directors of Tomskneft were representatives of Yukos. In December 1998, Cyprus-based Asirota Limited, the owner of 10% of the voting shares of Tomskneft, charged Yukos with violating the rights of small shareholders. In particular, it was stated that such a violation is “the application of transfer prices at the level of 250 rubles per ton of crude oil at a cost of 300 rubles, and at a market price of more than 500 rubles.” Asirota Limited noted that in January 1998, the selling price of oil in Tomskneft was 430 rubles / ton, which led to “the withdrawal of profits to zones with preferential taxation and an increase in accounts payable to the structures of Yukos”.
Until mid-2007, Tomskneft belonged to Yukos. Then, as part of the sale of Yukos property, it was sold to Oil-Active, an affiliated company with Rosneft. At the end of December 2007, 50% of Tomskneft shares were sold to Gazprom Neft.
In August 2021, Rosneft, the operator of Tomskneft, ceased to be a co-owner of 50% of the company.
50% of the shares were bought by NNK-Oil LLC, the company Khudaynatova E.Y. After this transaction, the company itself became the operator of Tomskneft production facilities. Other issues are resolved on the basis of the charter, which regulates the participation of shareholders in the management of the company.
