Tossaint Ricketts (born February 1, 1970 in Edmonton, Canada) is a Canadian international soccer player who played as an attacker. Expatriate during the first part of his career, he joined Canadian Major League Soccer training in 2016 before ending his sports career in .

Biography

Club career

At the end of the 2022 season, the Whitecaps announced that their contract was not renewed. A few weeks later, on the , he announced that he would end his sports career.

International career
With less than 20 years of age, he competed in the Under-20 World Cup in 2007. At the World Junior in his native country, he played three games. With a catastrophic record of three defeats in three games, six goals conceded and zero goals scored, Canada was pitifully eliminated in the first round.

On , he was first on the bench of National Team A replacements, but without going into play, during a friendly meeting with the Cyprus team (victory 0-1). He finally had to wait until he finally received his first selection, in a friendly match against Greece. He entered the field in the second half, replacing his teammate Josh Simpson. Canada is down to 1-0.

On , he scored his first goal with Canada in a friendly meeting against Ecuador (final score: 2-2). A few days later, he participated in the Gold Cup in the United States. In this competition, he played only one game against Panama. With a record of victory, a draw and a defeat, Canada did not exceed the first round.

Then, on the , he was one of the 23 called by national breeder Colin Miller for the Gold Cup 2013. During this tournament, he played three games. Canada was eliminated in the first round. He participated in his third Gold Cup in . During this competition, he played three games. Canada was eliminated in the first round.

On , he is again among the 23 called by the national breeder Octavio Zambrano for the Gold Cup 2017. During this competition, he played only one match against Costa Rica. Canada was down in the quarter-final against Jamaica.
