Tourism is an important part of the economy of Réunion, a island in the Indian Ocean and French overseas . Although there are many tourism assets, the tourist attractions of the island are not known.

The discovery of the island
There is a settlement since the 17th century in the island. As a stop on the Indes route, sailors were visited by diplomats and explorers. Jean Baptiste Bory de Saint-Vincent was also popular among natural scientists. Charles Baudelaire was born in 1841 for almost a few weeks. The island’s interest has long been taken before the start of commercial flights. It was difficult to travel in the island itself. Réunion railway took two days to pass to Saint-Pierre from Saint-Denis before building in 1882. The active burns were able to walk only a few days to see Piton de la Fournaise. Kreol families from the West discovered more accessible (but still wild) places like Bernica and Saint-Gilles Valley, as recorded in the poets of Leconte de Lisle. Ressam Antoine Roussin released L'Album de l in 1857 in a number of installments. From the province to 1990s
