Arkhangelsk transport is represented by all the main modes of transport: rail, road, sea, pipeline and air. Arkhangelsk is one of the largest transport hubs in the north-west of Russia. The city begins important railway and highways, there are large sea and river ports, airports Vaskovo and Arkhangelsk (Talagi), bus station.
Road transport
Arkhangelsk is an important center of road transportation. It is the final point of the federal highway "Kholmogory" M8 with branches to Severodvinsk and the international airport Arkhangelsk (Talagi). This is the only road that connects the city with the center of Russia, through which timber, woodworking products are exported and food, consumer goods, etc. are imported.
Water transport
There are 3 cargo areas on the territory of the port of Arkhangelsk: the Savonomiya and Bakaritsa (sea trading port) and the sea river port (passenger port). Through the latter, flights are carried out to the islands within the city, as well as to the Solovetsky Islands and other settlements. In the future, it is planned to develop the deep-water port of Bakaritsa, the deepening of the bottom of the Northern Dvina has already begun.

Air transport
Arkhangelsk Airport (Talaghi), opened on February 5, 1963, serves federal (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Anapa, Murmansk, Simferopol, Naryan-Mar, Usinsk, Syktyvkar, Kotlas) and international regular and charter flights to Turkey (Antalya), Egypt (Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh), Thailand (Bangkok), Bulgaria (Burgas), Cyprus (Larnaca), Spain (Barcelonaca), Greece (Thessaloniki), Tunisia (Jarbhatta, Vietnam). Located 11 km from the city, in Talazhsky aviation town.
South of Arkhangelsk is the airport of local air lines Vaskovo. Flights are mainly performed on An-2 and L-410 aircraft to remote and inaccessible settlements of the Arkhangelsk region and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Mezen, Nizhny Pesha, Summer Golden, Koinas, Vijas, Oma, etc.).
Rail transport
Arkhangelsk is the final point of the main course of the Northern Railway. On its territory there are railway stations Arkhangelsk-Gorod, Isakorka, Bakaritsa, Zharovikha. A railway line is planned from Arkhangelsk to Perm (Belkomur).
