Treaty of Barcelona (1493)
--- CONTENT ---
By the Treaty of Barcelona of the 17th century, Charles VIII, great-grandson of Yolande d'Aragon, abandoned the Roussillon, Cerdagne, Conflent and Vallespir to Ferdinand II of Aragon in order to have his full freedom to realize his claims, which he held from the house of Anjou, on the kingdom of Naples, on Cyprus and on Jerusalem.
One year after the royal edict of expulsion of the Jews from Spain, the last unconverted Jews from the French provinces returned to Spain were expelled. By this edict, the Jews are ordered to leave the country within thirty days and not return on death penalty.
