"Trichrysis"

Trichrysis is a genus of glitter wasps from the subfamily Chrysidinae (tribe Chrysidini).

Description
Body is elongated. The posterior edge of the third tergit abdomen with 3 small wide teeth. Nest parasites of single sphecoid wasps and bees. One of the most massive representatives of glitter wasps in the fauna of Central Europe (in Belarus, 28% of the finds of all glitters account for Trichrysis cyanea).

Systematics
About 30 species. Palearctic, Afrotropics (7 species), Australia and Oriental Region (>10). There are 13 species in China. In Central and Southern Europe 3 species (in the European part of Russia 1 species). In a broad interpretation, the genus Trichrysis included other taxa as subgenera, for example Chrysidea, as well as (both Neotropics). Previously, it was considered as a subgenus in the genus Chrysis. In 1980, Trichrysis was elevated to a separate genus (Bohart and Kimsey, 1980).
