Türkmeneli Party was founded in 1992 by Aydın Abbat White, Riyaz Sarıkahya, Ahmet Ali Tent, Mükerrem Wei Kasap and Ayhan Bayraktar in North Cyprus and is one of the parties to represent Iraq Turks. The accepted organization is January 16. The first name is Türkmen Union Party.

In 2005, they have reported opinions that the elections were not fair, and presented the selection committee; but the result has not been assigned.

The general head of today is Riyaz Sarıkahya.
