North Cyprus Turkcell, also known as KKTCELL, is a mobile network operator in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It is an external subsidiary of Turkcell Communication Services Inc.

History

KKTCELL began serving subscribers in Northern Cyprus on August 3, 1999. Initially, it was launched as the second mobile provider in the country after KKTC Telsim on July 28, 1999. By March 2009, KKTCELL had reached 318 thousand subscribers.

Services

------------

KKTCELL offers a range of services to its subscribers, including:

* **GSM Technology**: North Cyprus Turkcell brings together GSM technology subscribers as of October 2008.
* **3G and 4G Technology**: Subscribers have started to be able to use 3G (3rd Generation) technology in 2008, and 4G as of September 2023.
* **Solar Power Plant**: North Cyprus Turkcell opened its Solar Power Plant on a 10-acre area in Vadili Village in North Cyprus. The solar power plant with a power of 900 KWp was activated with an investment of ₺6 million.

* **Pocket Account**: KKTCELL only offers the opportunity to perform online transactions with its devices with their mobile account, a private smartphone app for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
